Our Commitment
We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix it openly, promptly, and without hiding the mistake. All Tech Nerd is committed to accuracy, and that commitment includes honest accountability when we fall short.
We do NOT quietly alter articles without disclosure. Every substantive correction is clearly acknowledged.
Types Of Corrections
1. Minor Corrections
Typographical errors, spelling mistakes, or formatting issues that do not affect the meaning or accuracy of the content.
How we handle it: Fixed silently or with a brief inline note.
2. Factual Corrections
Errors of fact – a misquoted figure, incorrect date, wrong product specification, misidentified person, or inaccurate statistic.
How we handle it: Corrected with a clearly labelled
Correction Note at the top or bottom of the article, specifying what was wrong and what is now correct.
3. Significant Corrections
Where an error materially affects the meaning, conclusion, or fairness of an article.
How we handle it: A prominent CORRECTION NOTE is added explaining in full what was wrong, what has been changed, and why the change was necessary.
4. Retractions
In rare cases where an article contains errors so serious that it cannot be corrected without fundamentally undermining the piece as a whole.
How we handle it: The article is retracted and replaced with a notice explaining the reason for retraction. We do not Simply delete articles – the retraction notice remains permanently so the record is clear.
Correction Timeline
- Corrections are published as soon as the error is confirmed, typically within 24 hours for factual errors and the same business day for urgent corrections.
- Corrections are NOT backdated. The correction note includes the date the change was made, so the timeline is transparent.
- The original publication date of the article remains unchanged.
