Rockstar Games has officially announced support for NoPixel, the largest GTA RP (Roleplay) server, signaling big things ahead for the roleplay community—possibly tied to GTA 6. In a post on X, Rockstar said it is excited “to support the NoPixel team as they build the future of GTA RP.”
What is GTA RP?
While GTA V remains a top seller more than a decade after release, its continued success is fueled not only by GTA Online, Rockstar’s official multiplayer mode, but also by GTA RP. These community-driven servers allow players to roleplay unique characters, follow strict rules, and create custom stories within the GTA world.
NoPixel V, the next iteration of the iconic RP server, is being developed in collaboration with Rockstar. According to NoPixel Studios, it will represent “the next evolution of the GTA V Roleplay experience” and will be available soon on the Rockstar Games Launcher and other PC platforms.
This partnership could pave the way for a stronger modding and RP presence in GTA 6, especially with Rockstar’s backing. It’s easy to imagine GTA RP thriving long after the launch of the next entry in the franchise—perhaps even a decade later.
GTA 6 Release Date: Delays Still Possible
Rockstar has officially set May 26, 2026 as the launch date for GTA 6 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, industry insiders caution that this date may slip.
Tom Henderson, founder of Insider Gaming, believes Rockstar may delay GTA 6 until late 2026. Speaking on a recent Insider Gaming podcast, he argued that Rockstar’s drive for perfection—something fans saw in Red Dead Redemption 2—means the studio might need extra time.
In his view, an October 2026 release window would not only give Rockstar more time to polish the game but also maximize sales during the holiday season.
