Realme GT 8 Pro Certified in China, Key Charging Specs Confirmed

Realme is gearing up to launch the GT 8 Pro alongside the standard GT 8 this October. Ahead of its debut, the Pro model has cleared its sales certification in China, confirming support for 120W wired charging.

According to fresh leaks from Weibo, the device is also expected to feature wireless charging and pack a battery capacity starting with “7”, hinting at a size of at least 7,000mAh. While this falls short of earlier speculation about an 8,000mAh unit, it still represents a substantial upgrade in endurance.

The certification also shows that Realme is sticking with the same 120W charging standard as its predecessor, despite previous rumors suggesting a drop to 100W.

Under the hood, the Realme GT 8 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM. The smartphone is tipped to sport a 6.78-inch QHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring flagship-level visuals and smooth performance.

For photography, the GT 8 Pro will bring a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, a standout feature designed to compete with the top-tier camera phones on the market. On the software side, it will run Android 16 with Realme UI 7 right out of the box.
