Microsoft and Samsung Team Up to Bring Copilot AI to TVs and Monitors

Over the past few years, Microsoft has steadily expanded the capabilities of Copilot AI, weaving it into many of its services, platforms, and applications. Now, the company is taking another big step forward through a new partnership with Samsung.

Microsoft and Samsung have reached an agreement to bring Copilot AI directly to smart televisions and monitors. This move is more than just a technical integration — it’s a strategic partnership that benefits both companies and their products.

For Microsoft, the deal extends Copilot beyond PCs, tablets, and mobile apps, bringing its AI assistant into living rooms and workspaces around the world. Samsung adds an advanced AI layer to its already premium displays, giving users new ways to interact with their devices.

With Copilot built in, users will be able to access features like natural language queries, task automation, and productivity tools directly on their Samsung smart TVs and monitors — no PC required. This could make everyday tasks, from scheduling and note-taking to quick information lookups, as seamless as using a voice command.

Samsung has long been recognized as a leader in the smart TV and monitor market, thanks to its commitment to premium design, advanced technology, and top-quality performance that consistently set it apart from the competition.

Looking ahead, the company’s prospects seem even brighter. Samsung recently confirmed a partnership with Microsoft, bringing the power of Copilot AI directly into its smart TVs and monitors. This collaboration promises to transform the way people interact with their devices.

With this new integration, users will be able to do far more than just watch their favorite shows. Copilot can suggest movies, provide spoiler-free summaries of episodes, and answer various on-screen questions. What makes it especially engaging is the presence of an animated avatar, reminiscent of Microsoft’s earlier virtual assistants, which floats across the display while responding in real time.

On compatible Samsung TVs, Copilot will appear automatically within the Tizen operating system, Samsung Daily Plus, and the Click to Search feature. It can also be activated through simple voice commands, either by speaking directly into the remote or pressing the dedicated microphone button.

For those who want a more personalized experience, Microsoft has confirmed that logging into the app will allow Copilot to access past interactions, tailoring its responses to each user. This update will begin rolling out in 2025 across Samsung’s latest models, including Neo QLED, OLED, The Frame, The Frame Pro, Micro RGB, as well as smart monitors like the M7, M8, and M9.

And the vision doesn’t stop with Samsung. Microsoft has also revealed plans to expand Copilot’s reach to other brands, such as LG, signaling a major shift in how we interact with TVs and monitors moving forward.
