Despite being the follow-up to one of the most celebrated RPGs in recent memory, Elden Ring: Nightreign won’t demand a powerhouse PC to run smoothly. Much like its predecessor, FromSoftware’s latest title keeps things surprisingly accessible, though it does dial up the requirements slightly in the processor department and trims the storage footprint in half.
With the game just a month away from launch, the developer has shared the official PC specs. The good news? There’s little here to stress about, even if you’re running older hardware. While the recommended CPUs have seen a small generational bump, they still fall well within what many gamers already have in their systems.

With modest requirements and efficient optimization, Nightreign looks poised to run well on mid-range setups without compromise.
Elden Ring Nightreign and the new requirement with CPUS
With Elden Ring: Nightreign just around the corner, FromSoftware has made a few adjustments to the system requirements compared to the original game. The most noticeable change comes in the processor department. Where the base Elden Ring listed older chips like the Intel Core i5-8400 and AMD Ryzen 3 3300X as minimum, Nightreign now starts with slightly newer models—namely the i5-10600 and Ryzen 5 5500.
On the recommended end, the jump goes from the i7-8700K and Ryzen 5 3600X to an i5-11500 and Ryzen 5 5600. Despite this bump in CPU expectations, the RAM requirements haven’t changed—still sitting at 12 GB minimum and 16 GB recommended.
Interestingly, while the game asks more from your processor, it demands much less from your hard drive. The original Elden Ring required 60 GB of storage, but Nightreign only needs 30 GB. This reduction likely reflects the scale of the game world—Nightreign features more compact environments rather than the sprawling open world fans explored in the previous title.
The increase in CPU requirements suggests that the team may have worked on improving performance, particularly in terms of scene transitions and environmental loading. These were areas where Elden Ring sometimes stumbled, even on high-end systems.
Elden Ring: Nightreign is set to launch on May 29 and will be available across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
