OnePlus India has officially announced that its upcoming OxygenOS 16 will integrate Google’s Gemini models, bringing advanced generative AI capabilities to future OnePlus smartphones.
The new system is designed to act as “your planner, assistant, and manager – all in one,” according to the brand’s announcement. At the heart of this AI integration is Mind Space, a new central hub where users can organise their memories, notes, and collections.
By tapping into this content, Gemini will be able to perform context-aware tasks. For example, OnePlus demonstrated a scenario in which a user asks Gemini to create a 5-day trip plan to Paris, pulling from personal data stored within Mind Space to deliver a customised itinerary.
This move represents a deeper push into personalised, on-device AI experiences, making OnePlus one of the first smartphone makers to embed Gemini so tightly into its operating system.
The new AI-powered features, including Mind Space, will debut with OxygenOS 16, which is set to roll out “soon.” OnePlus has not yet confirmed which devices will be supported at launch, but a full compatibility list and rollout schedule are expected in the coming weeks.
