Samsung has officially started rolling out the stable version of One UI 9 to Galaxy smartphones, marking the end of several months of beta testing.

The Android 17-based software was first introduced through a beta program for the Galaxy S26 lineup in May 2026. After multiple beta releases and several months of testing, Samsung began distributing the stable build on September 16.

Several newer Galaxy models, including the Galaxy S26 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy A08 and Galaxy A18, already come with One UI 9 installed from the factory.

Galaxy S26 Series Gets One UI 9 First

Samsung’s initial stable rollout is currently focused on its latest flagship smartphones.

The Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra are receiving One UI 9 in South Korea, with availability also reported for T-Mobile carrier models in the United States using the TMB CSC.

The rollout is expected to expand gradually to additional countries and Galaxy devices. Samsung has not provided a universal completion date, and availability will depend on individual models, regions and carrier variants.

The wider rollout could continue through the coming months, potentially reaching completion by the end of 2026.

What’s New in One UI 9?

One UI 9 is based on Android 17 and brings a range of interface changes, system improvements and new Galaxy AI capabilities.

One of the new AI features is My FanCam, which can automatically keep a selected person centered within a video. Samsung has also expanded Now Brief, adding customizable cards that can provide more personalized information.

Another addition is Call Brief, which surfaces relevant information during phone calls.

Beyond the headline AI features, One UI 9 also introduces visual refinements, smoother animations and various system-level improvements across compatible Galaxy devices.

How to Check for One UI 9

Galaxy owners can manually check whether the update is available by opening:

Settings > Software update > Download and install

If One UI 9 has reached the device, the option to download and install the update will appear.

The phone will restart during installation and boot into the new software once the process is complete.

Samsung is expected to continue expanding One UI 9 to additional Galaxy smartphones and tablets as the rollout progresses. Availability will vary by model, country and carrier, so not every eligible device will receive the update at the same time.
