Google Doubles Gemini 2.5 Pro Daily Limit

By Aayush

Google has officially increased the daily question limit for Gemini 2.5 Pro users. The update was shared on Wednesday (June 4) by Josh Woodward, VP at Google Labs and head of the Gemini team, via his personal X account.

“We’ve just doubled the daily query limit for Gemini Pro users—from 50 to 100,” Woodward posted. “Thanks for all the feedback and for pushing the model’s limits!”

This change follows ongoing requests from users—especially developers—who rely heavily on the tool and had voiced frustrations over previous limits.

Until now, access to Gemini 2.5 Pro was somewhat restricted. Subscribers to the AI Basic and AI Pro plans had limited preview access, while those on the AI Ultra tier enjoyed broader availability.

The expanded query cap is expected to ease usage for power users and reflects Google’s ongoing efforts to respond to community needs.

What are the pricing plans for Google AI?

In the United States, the Google AI Pro plan is priced at $19.99 per month, with the first month currently free. This subscription includes access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro model for regular prompts and Deep Research mode, along with a fivefold increase in the search limit for NotebookLM.

For users who need even more power and resources, there’s the Google AI Ultra plan. It costs $249.99 per month, though new users can get the first three months at $124.99/month. This premium plan offers expanded access to cutting-edge AI tools and models, significantly higher usage limits, increased cloud storage (up to 30 TB), and additional perks like YouTube Premium.
