Xiaomi has expanded its premium smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the Redmi Turbo 5, a feature-packed device aimed at users seeking flagship-level performance, long battery life and enhanced durability.

The Redmi Turbo 5 arrives with a large 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and delivers up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness. The screen also features Dolby Vision support, offering an improved viewing experience for streaming and gaming.

One of the key highlights of the smartphone is its massive 7,540mAh battery. Xiaomi has paired the battery with 100W HyperCharge technology, allowing for rapid charging speeds. The charger is included in the retail box. The device also supports 27W reverse charging, enabling users to power compatible accessories and other devices.

Under the hood, the Redmi Turbo 5 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor. The smartphone is available with up to 12GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage, providing fast performance and improved multitasking capabilities.

The handset runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box. Xiaomi has committed to four years of Android operating system upgrades and six years of security updates, reinforcing its long-term software support strategy.

For photography, the Redmi Turbo 5 features a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor with both Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS). The camera system is complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. On the front, the device houses a 20-megapixel selfie camera for video calls and self-portraits.

Durability is another area where the Redmi Turbo 5 stands out. The smartphone carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K certifications, offering protection against dust, water immersion and high-pressure water exposure.

Additional features include dual stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res Audio certification, aimed at delivering an immersive multimedia experience.

The Redmi Turbo 5 is priced at ₹37,999 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model is available for ₹40,999.

The smartphone will go on sale in India starting June 19 through Xiaomi’s official channels, Amazon and authorised retail stores across the country.

With a large battery, powerful hardware and extensive durability certifications, the Redmi Turbo 5 is positioned as a strong contender in India’s premium smartphone segment.
