Nvidia‘s upcoming entry-level graphics card, the GeForce RTX 5050, is generating some buzz as major board partners begin revealing their customized takes on it. Brands like ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, and Zotac are leading the charge, each presenting their own unique versions, ranging from compact, low-profile cards with triple-fan setups to more classic designs featuring anywhere from one to three fans.
With a power rating of 130W, the RTX 5050 doesn’t demand heavy-duty cooling, which keeps things simple for most manufacturers. Still, a few have gone the extra mile—ASUS with its Prime edition and Gigabyte’s Gaming OC are rolling out dual-slot models that use three fans, likely aiming for quieter operation or cooler temps under sustained loads. That said, the majority of cards stick with a two-fan configuration, which is pretty typical for GPUs in this power bracket.
GeForce RTX 5050 with a varied design
Among the custom designs, Zotac stands out with a single-fan version—a style that harks back to earlier budget GPUs like the GTX 750 Ti and GTX 1050 Ti. Meanwhile, Gigabyte has taken a more unusual route by offering a low-profile version of the RTX 5050 that still manages to fit three fans into a dual-slot layout. That’s a tight squeeze for a 130W GPU, suggesting that thermal headroom is still something to consider even at this power level.
The RTX 5050 comes with a base clock of 2,317 MHz, but factory-overclocked models are pushing the boost speeds higher, reaching 2,587 MHz, 2,602 MHz, and even 2,707 MHz depending on the manufacturer.
