This feature allows users to easily navigate different categories and discover channels based on their interests. Each category highlights the most-followed channels and offers various filters to refine searches, including options to find the most active, popular, and recently updated channels and trending conversations by country.
After months of beta testing, this feature is now accessible to everyone. The categories include:
- Entertainment
- Sports
- Lifestyle
- Business
- News and Information
- People
- Organizations
WhatsApp reports that its channels attract 500 million users monthly worldwide, showcasing a vibrant mix of companies, celebrities, and organizations that share news updates and offers.
How to find channels by category on WhatsApp
Follow these steps:
- Open WhatsApp on your phone;
- Access the “Updates” tab;
- Tap “Explore”;
- See categories.
